"] Text[1]=["SNAP Dinner & Silent Auction","SNAP Dinner & Silent Auction Tickets are now on sale!!  The dinner was Saturday, February 7, 2009 from 7-11pm.  Tickets are $30 each and include all of your food and beverage for the night.  There will be a 50/50 raffle and silent auction.  The silent auction has some really cool prizes from photography sessions and prints, tickets to shows, teeth whitening, lottery tickets, baskets of cheer, mp3/video player, YMCA membership, greens fees, golf club social memberships, gift baskets and gift cards from various mall stores...

There will be dancing after the auction and much fun to be had!  This is a seriously good time and supports a fantastic cause-keeping our Spring Ford juniors and seniors safe on prom night!  Please let us know ASAP if you'd like to purchase a ticket.  They will go FAST and we can only take 250 guests.  Visit us at www.SFSNAP.org.

"] Text[2]=["Reading Phils!","Join the Spring City Lions on an evening of food, entertainment, baseball and fabulous fireworks. You don’t have to be a Lion to come – we just have to fill a tables of 10. It’s all for food you can eat – picnic style – and its great food at an open buffet for 2 and a half hours.  Then you watch a Reading Phillies game sitting right at 3rd base followed by a fantastic fireworks display.  Tickets are $27 (also a day game on Thurs. "] Text[4]=["National Night Out™","'Light Up the Night' Against Drugs and Crime!  Thank You for the success of this event!  We partner with Police, Fire and Emergency squads to promote safety awareness.  The Masons with the assistance of the Borough Police and New York Life provided free finger printing and DNA kits for children.  Over a dozen other civic groups had displays and activities.  McGruff will tour the park grounds looking for your high-five! "] Text[7]=["Christmas Decorating Contest","Yes, Virginia, there is a borough Christmas House Decorating Contest.  The Spring City Lions Club has been doing it for years!  It’s almost the second best kept secret in town.

"] Text[8]=["Brough Tree Lighting","Santa spends the day touring the borough after which he makes a grand entrance to light the Borough’s Christmas Tree!  FREE TROLLEY RIDES through town!  There’s lots of candy canes, hot cocoa, cookies and such.  Time to sit on Santa’s lap and you can even send your letters to Santa that he will answer when he has a chance back at the North Pole!  His post box is located in the Spring City Post Office!   Mrs. Claus will be on hand and there may be other special events in the works.  Come back here as the plans unfold.

"] Text[9]=["Lions Club Benefit Day","Giovanni's Restaurant at 466 Main Street is having a Spring City Lions Club Benefit Day.  Come in day or night and enjoy some of their award winning meals, sandwiches, subs, pizzas and oh those fabulous desserts!  The club earns a portion of the proceeds for the day - whether you eat-in or order out!  This will help us raise funds for the Halloween Parade, House Juding Contests and annual SpringFord HS scholarship fund.
